πͺ FAQs
What happens if, after Day 1, my child isnβt ready to drive on track for Day 2?
Following the Day 1 assessment, if our coaching team feels your child would benefit from additional preparation before driving on track, Day 2 will be adapted to include simulator and off-track training. This allows your child to continue developing skills, confidence, and understanding in a safe and supportive environment while progressing at their own pace.
What if we need to change our Day 1 academy date?
We understand that family schedules can change. If space is available, we will gladly work with you to move your Day 1 session to another academy date. We simply ask that you contact us as early as possible so we can plan staffing and kart availability accordingly.
What happens after the 2βday academy if we want to continue?
Our academy continues throughout the karting season (weather permitting). During the 2-day introductory program, we will discuss the next steps that best suit your childβs interests and development. Options may include regular weekly training sessions, private coaching, or progression into our next-level academy program. Some families attend 2β3 times per week during the summer and 1β2 times per week once school resumes.
What safety gear is provided, and what should we bring?
Participants only need to bring comfortable, lightweight clothing and well-fitting, closed-toe running or everyday athletic shoes.
We provide all required karting safety equipment, including:
- Racing suit
- Helmet
- Gloves
- Neck safety device
- Rib protector
What if my child is nervous or not sure about driving on track?
This is very common, especially for first-time drivers. Our coaches are experienced in helping young children feel comfortable and confident at their own pace. If a child is not yet ready for on-track driving, we can focus on simulator training and off-track activities that build confidence in a fun, low-pressure environment.
Do parents need to stay for the entire program?
Yes. We require at least one parent or legal guardian to remain trackside with their child for the duration of the program.
Can parents participate in the program?
Absolutely. This academy is designed to introduce both young drivers and
their families to karting. Parents are encouraged to be part of the
experienceβhelping with gear, observing track sessions, and attending
debriefs. Where appropriate, we may invite parents to assist with simple
tasks so you better understand how everything works.
Is my child big enough or too big for Kid Karts?
In most cases, this is not an issue. We can usually accommodate a wide range of driver sizes by selecting the appropriate seat and making ergonomic adjustments to ensure a safe and comfortable driving position.
What happens if it rains?
We operate rain or shine, provided conditions remain safe. In fact, driving in the rain can be a valuable and enjoyable learning experience for new drivers. Wet-weather karting helps develop important vehicle-control skills.
If weather conditions become unsafeβsuch as lightning, standing water, or other severe conditionsβwe may temporarily pause on-track activities, switch to simulator training, or reschedule the affected portion of the program.
What is your cancellation, weather, and refund policy?
We understand that circumstances can change and aim to be as accommodating as possible. If a scheduled date needs to be adjusted, we will work with families to find a suitable alternative whenever possible.
If a child is not ready for on-track driving, their training time will be converted to simulator and off-track instruction so they can continue progressing safely and effectively.
Please contact us directly regarding specific cancellation, rescheduling, or refund requests, and we will do our best to find a fair solution.
Can parents participate in the program?
Absolutely. This academy is designed to introduce both young drivers and their families to the sport of karting. Parents are encouraged to be involved by helping with equipment, observing track sessions, and participating in driver debriefs. Where appropriate, parents may also be invited to assist with simple tasks so they can better understand how the program operates and support their childβs development.
ARE THERE WAIVERS AND DO YOU NEED ANY MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE DRIVER ATTENDING.
Yes upon completion of checkout you will receive an email asking for specific information for the driver : Height, Weight, Waist or jean size, circumference of head just above eyebrows at the largest part of head. Further we will be sending you appropriate waivers to fill out in advance before attending day 1 orientation.
